In the uncertain days of the German post-war era, in 1948 Rolf Hein, a doctor of chemistry, began experimenting with detergents as a means of exchanging food with local farmers in the rural areas surrounding the native town of Pustefix in Tübingen, and in doing so, discovered by chance a formula that was excellent for making soap bubbles.

It was then Dr. Hein's goal to make it easier for all children to use the colorful, bright, slightly floating bubbles of liquid soap without the need to make big preparations before playing.

So, from the beginning it was his intention to create a ready-to-use toy for the production of soap bubbles.
