Sustainable Toys: Boys and Girls for a Better World

By helping our children grow up sustainably, they will become the adults who will create a sustainable world tomorrow. The spirit of sustainability is always present in our ideas, our culture, and our selection process. That's why CuCuToys and PlanToys were destined to work together for a better world. This shared philosophy is distilled from the conception and design of the toys, through the materials and manufacturing process, and ending with the careful packaging. The toys are original and always center children, focusing on developing their imagination while facilitating their physical and intellectual development through play. And they never forget environmental protection. The toys are made from natural rubberwood, sourced from the company's own rubber tree plantations (Hevea Brasiliensis), maintained through a local sustainable reforestation program. When these trees are no longer suitable for latex collection, they are used for toy making. To maintain their purity, no fertilizer is used for three years prior to the trees being harvested. The wood leftover from the manufacturing process is used to create PlanWood: a high-density fiber composite that allows for the creation of safer, stronger, and more durable toys while reusing waste materials. The packaging is recycled and recyclable, and the inks used for printing are soy-based, minimizing the environmental impact. Furthermore, to reduce waste to zero, the factory has a biomass plant where all this material is used to generate electricity. Not only is enough produced to power the factory, but much of this electricity is also used in neighboring communities. Rubberwood is light-colored and lightweight, yet very durable. Warm and soft to the touch, when you hold a PlanToys toy in your hands, you immediately realize you're dealing with a very high-quality product. You can find these sustainable toys at CuCuToys
