More information

The UGears differential assembly consists of the following parts: drive and secondary gears, locking lever, locking clutch, and two wheels. You can bring the model to life by simply pushing the lever to the first position (up), which sets the drive gear and both wheels in motion. The control lever is used to regulate the smooth locking of each wheel independently. The second lever position (down) allows the wheels to remain inactive and locked, or to rotate simultaneously.

What's included in the UGears STEM Lab Kit? A pocket-sized guide to studying the model, a beautifully illustrated and detailed manual, high-quality plywood boards with laser-cut pre-cut pieces, and rubber bands. You won't need glue or any other special tools.

Additionally, the UGears STEM-lab series includes an augmented reality (AR) feature. To use it, download the STEM Lab app, point your phone or tablet at the model, and the app will display all the mechanism's features, as well as its real-life applications. You can also study the mechanism from any angle and zoom in on it.

STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. It is an innovative approach to teaching these disciplines through a practical demonstration of key principles of scientific laws. UGears' STEM Lab series features 3D models based on this learning method. Through a series of exciting experiments, children and adults will be able to more easily understand science and the logic behind the mechanisms that surround us in our daily lives. Furthermore, the STEM method allows students to develop problem-solving skills, critical thinking, creativity, and much more.
