This wooden DIY kit is both a 3D puzzle and a fun toy. It consists of an elevator, three tracks and some interesting catch and release mechanisms scattered around the course. Turn the crank and watch the marbles roll down different obstacles until they reach the final platform at the bottom.
The Ugears design team has created the Step Lift Marble Run and three other marble runs (Spiral Lift Marble Run, Step Lift Marble Run and Marble Run Chain) as individual models, but they also function as modular elements that can be joined together to form a giant marble run. You can join two or four race tracks of either type together using the special connectors (included in each of the kits), to make a giant marble amusement park with a variety of elevators and obstacles for the marbles to overcome on their descent. The escape mechanism at the end of each circuit can send the marbles back to their original elevator or to the adjacent marble run. But you can also switch between the two options (controlled by a special switch).
