Jueves de juegos: La pandilla hámster

Game Thursday: The Hamster Gang

The hamsters search through their caves, go up and down the elevator, ride the wheel, and race back and forth in the cabin and the wagon... But it's autumn, and time to stock up on supplies for the winter. Can the hamsters get all the carrots, clover, and ears of corn to the right storage areas before the leaves fall from the tree and the hedgehog hides in the leaf pile?
Hamster Gang is a cooperative game where teamwork is essential to collecting food. It develops motor and visual-motor skills by moving the pieces on the board. And another advantage: it can also be played with a single player!

Preparations:
To start harvesting quickly, you must put all the pieces of the board together like a large puzzle. Place the wagon, elevator, cabin, and wheel in their corresponding spaces so they can move easily. Place all the leaves on the treetop. For each player, place three food tokens (1 carrot, 1 grain ear, and 1 clover leaf) in the corresponding spaces. Choose a hamster and put it in the living room. The first person to start will place the hedgehog in front of them and will be responsible for it throughout the game. Put away the rest of the materials.
How do you play?
Taking turns, and clockwise, players roll the dice and explore the caves in any order they wish. Please note that when using the cart, elevator, cabin, and wheel, passing through these spaces also count as a move. If you land on a food space (carrots, clover, or corn), you can take a food token and move it to the appropriate pantry. Each player can only carry one token at a time. If you land in a cave where there is another hamster, you can give it the food token (if you have one), but only if the other hamster doesn't have one. If you reach a pantry suitable for the food token it's carrying, you can leave it stored without spending any remaining die points. Continue moving to the points that have been touched. When all players have played a round, they must pick a leaf from the tree and give it to the hedgehog so that it has a warm place to hibernate.
When does the game end?
  • When the last food token has been left in your appropriate pantry, or
  • When the hedgehog has gotten all the leaves from the tree
If you want to make the game a little easier, you can make it so that with each turn of the game, instead of giving it to the hedgehog directly, you turn it upside down first so that the leaf changes color from green to brown and then give it to the hedgehog when it is already brown. As you can see, in this game no player wins over another, but everyone wins, or everyone learns! Did you enjoy this collaborative game? It's available for purchase here .
