Thursday Games: My First Treasure - The Hardworking Farmer

In the previous post, we introduced you to My First Treasure of Games by HABA. We'll briefly remind you what it's about, and then quickly explain the next game: The Hardworking Farmer.
This box contains 10 games that introduce the first rules: taking turns and the sequence of play. A collection of games where we can play freely, or follow the rules of six different games and some variations. Games involving dice traversal, shape and color recognition, performing routines on the farm, shopping at the market, memory... This collection of games encourages both expressive and receptive language.

Today we're going to review The Hardworking Farmer , a fun collaborative game for 1 to 6 players ages 3 and up, that they'll want to play at any time of day .
Preparations:
This game uses the "Farm" board. Spread the game board on the table and place the farmer in his farmhouse. Prepare the scoring die, the stars, the moon, and the three farm discs.
How do you play?
The objective of the game is to ensure that the farmer (all players take turns) completes all the farm tasks before nightfall and the moon rises. To do this, the first farmer rolls the die and looks at the four colors.
  • If the square in front of you has a flower of the same color as the one rolled on the die, you're in luck! Move on to the next square and pass the die to the next player.
  • If there are no flowers of the colors on the die, time passes and the farmer rests for a while while a star appears in the sky (he places a star in the center of the board), and gives the die to the next farmer.
When you pass through one of the large round squares (if you happen to be matching the color of one of its little flowers), you place the corresponding disc on top of it, because you have already picked the fruit from the trees, mowed the fields, or fed the livestock. When all the stars have been placed, the moon is placed in the sky.
When does the game end?
The game ends if the farmer has completed his daily tasks and returned home before the moon rises. So in that case: Everyone wins! Otherwise, if the moon rises before you get home... you'll have lost the game, but you can try again, because luck is different every day!! Did you enjoy this cool game? We've always thought it was a lot of fun. It's one of the little ones' favorites, and since it's a collaborative game, no one gets upset about losing. In this game, like so many others... you either win or you learn! Next week we'll tell you how to play another game: Let's Go Shopping! If you can't wait until next week to enjoy it, you can purchase it in the store by clicking here .
