Everyone ready! The lights are about to go out!
The cars are getting ready to race!
Move forward when you roll the dice to match your car's color... but be careful! With each roll, you can move up to six spaces! If you know how to combine them and, of course, are lucky with the dice.
Monza is a track-based game where you roll six dice to create the color sequence that allows you to advance the maximum number of spaces possible. Each move requires careful planning. The goal, as is typical in a car race, is to reach the finish line first.

Preparations:

Place the game board on the table, and place as many cars on the starting grid as there are players. If there are fewer than 6 children playing the game, store the remaining cars in the box. The dice have 6 colors, which match the colors of the racetrack sections. Set up the 6 dice together so the first player can start.
How do you play?
There are two ways to play. The first:
Starting with the youngest player, roll all 6 dice. Now look for the colored sections that correspond to the colors rolled on the dice and advance as many sections as the colors you have on the dice.

You must try to advance in your lane, or by changing lanes, as long as the color of the adjacent lane matches one of your dice, and as long as the new lane ends in front of the lane you're currently in. Look closely at the image to see that you can't use the lane to the left and below the center lane, because you'd go backwards, and racing cars only go towards the finish line!

Keep in mind that you'll find some sections with pneumatic tires, and these prevent you from moving forward on that same lane. You must advance as many spaces (sections) as the number of colors you rolled on the dice, without leaving any unused. If you end your roll on a space occupied by another player, the player previously occupying it will have to move to the previous section.
When does the game end?
The first player to reach the finish line wins the game. But be careful! You have to let all players finish that round, because if several players reach the finish line in that round, only the one who used the fewest dice to get there wins!
The second way to play is the same as the first, except that if the last segment used to advance within that round matches the color of your car, you can advance one more space, being allowed to continue in the same lane, or change if necessary.
