Niños jugando al juego de mesa Super Rino construyendo una torre con cartas en una reseña del juego de mesa Super Rino

Thursday Games: Super Rhino

Oops! Super Rhino is back in action! This rhino is the bravest, biggest (and heaviest) in the city, and he always wants to be on the roofs of buildings to keep the bad guys from getting into trouble... But of course, this is where you come in to help him: You have to get him to the top of the tallest skyscraper you can build. Have fun figuring out which card to place so the next player doesn't have an easy time. The goal is to be the first to place all the cards (without the building collapsing), following the instructions on the cards. The corners of the special cards indicate the construction conditions you must follow to advance to the next level. 5 to 99 years 2 to 4 players 15 minutes

A three-dimensional game where we work on constructive logical thinking and motor, visual-motor, visual-perceptual, and visual-spatial skills.
Preparations:
Place the foundation card in the center of the table, showing side 1 if you're just starting out with building, or side 2 if you've already mastered the game. Shuffle the roofs and deal five to each player. If there are only two of you, keep seven each. With the remaining roofs, make a face-down deck of cards to draw from, and place it next to the foundation card. Finally, place the walls and SuperRino nearby to keep them handy.
How do you play?
Playing in turns, the youngest player or the last player to have been in a building with more than 20 floors starts. They must try to place one of the roof cards, but first, they must build a new floor with one or two walls (as indicated by the foundation card first, then the roof cards). Look carefully at the position of the markers on the cards, which show the number and position of the walls for the new floor. Take the required walls and fold them so they form the specified angle and fit within the markers. Then, place them and place one of your roofs on top.
Some roofs have special symbols that determine how the building will be constructed:
  • Red symbol (x2)

Place another roof on top, but it CANNOT have the x2 symbol. If you don't have any more roofs, steal one from a participant.

  • Purple symbol (Change of direction)

If there are more than two players, the direction of the game changes. If there are only two of you, no problem.

  • Blue symbol (admiration)

The next player is saved from having to build. In the event that there are two of you, it's your turn again.

  • Green symbol (+1)

The next player has to take another roof from the deck.

  • Black Symbol (Super Rhino)

Super Rhino climbs the tower: but don't worry, it's the next player who has to grab Super Rhino from wherever he is and place him—very carefully!—at the very top, in the spot indicated on the roof card. Once he's in place, you can place the walls according to the marks and which roof you were assigned.

Construction rules:

  1. You can use both hands
  2. You cannot touch other cards: neither walls nor roofs.
  3. Follow the markings on the roofs to fold the cards on the walls properly.
  4. You have to place the roof cards in the same orientation as the foundation card.
How does the game end? Three things can happen:
  • Let one end up with his roof cards, and thus win the game!
  • The tower falls: In this case, the player who was placing the tower when it falls loses, and the player with the fewest roof cards wins! If there's a tie, the player with the most symbol cards wins, and if there's still a tie, both players win!
  • If all the wall cards are gone, everyone wins!
