Superheroes

A superhero cape is also an educational toy

One of the most common comments I've heard when I told someone I sell educational toys was, "Oh, puzzles and alphabets." Sounds boring, right? Well, I have great news that you're going to love: Playing something as fun as superheroes is also an educational toy and essential for the development of little ones. Putting on a super-cape and saving the world or rescuing Luisa's neighbor's kitten provides them with as much or more education than three hours of math and language arts. Don't get me wrong, language arts and math are necessary and important, but we shouldn't overlook aspects that are just as important, if not more so, such as the ability to socialize, self-confidence, creativity, reasoning, empathy, and the control and management of feelings and emotions, which are a crucial part of a person's education and development. Children are constantly learning. Absolutely everything they see, feel, hear, and analyze passes into their little heads, where it is reviewed, stored, and cataloged. And how are all this information related? Well, by using creativity and imagination. This way, they are able to create real-life scenarios and preparatory situations, simulating behaviors and reactions that help them understand, assimilate, and internalize social functioning. By having control over the scenario, they themselves regulate the level of involvement and responsibility they are willing to take. It can be done and undone without consequences. Through this game, thinking develops and it becomes easier to distinguish reality from fantasy; children work through situations that they find challenging, as they can freely express their emotions and feelings, knowing that within play, anything is possible, but outside of it, nothing is. So the next time you see a SuperLola or a SuperRamón, you should know that you're seeing a child who is developing a strong personality, gaining self-esteem and self-confidence. And it's not just educational, it's hilarious!! Are you in?
