How to play Piratrix?
To start playing, you will need:- A treasure map for each pirate
- Pirate figures (as many as you have ships on your map)
- Movement tokens hidden in a bag
- Your adventurous spirit and your desire to have fun!
- Find the chest! The objective is to create a cross of tiles with the centre at your treasure, so you'll have to move your pirates one by one cleverly to form the cross.
- Place your chest: Each pirate places his chest in the grey area of the map board, according to the picture on his chest.
- Place the pirates: Each corner of the map indicates the number of pirates you have to stack in each corner.
- Choose your move wisely: Take it in turns to draw a tile from the bag and decide whether to use the drawing on the front or back of the bag. All pirates can move according to their chosen pattern.
- Move cunningly: Move your pirates from one square to another, horizontally, vertically or diagonally (you can move several in a turn, but only to the adjacent square).
- Watch out for crocodiles! Crocodile tokens force all players to move a pirate from the colour strip of your choice, to the previous strip. use them cunningly!
- Use the telescopes as jokers: you can move a pirate to the square you are most interested in!
- The first to complete the cross wins the game!
- Look at the maps carefully: Each map has a different layout of ships, so plan your moves wisely!
- Anticipate your opponents: Watch your teammates' moves to block their plans and be the fastest to form the cross!
- Use crocodiles strategically: Don't just see them as a penalty! You can use them to move your opponents' pirates out of position.
- Take advantage of telescopes at key moments: A well-used joker can give you the victory.
