The beginning of an adventure
We're Gonzalo and Iván, two fathers who met at work and immediately connected. Between conversations about our families, coffee, and lots of laughter, we discovered we shared a special way of seeing life. We call it "the fiber": that invisible but strong connection that unites you with someone when there are many similarities.
When we became parents, we wanted to give our little ones the best. But when we were looking for toys that would not only entertain but also stimulate their development... something didn't fit. We were missing that "something more."
The question that changed everything
One conversation changed our course forever:
“If children learn through play… what do we want our children to learn?”
We wanted more: toys that inspired, educated, and connected with our values. Thus was born the seed of Cucutoys: a unique store with sustainable, creative, and purposeful toys.
Our shared dream
In 2014, we launched Cucutoys.es , an online store that filled us with excitement. It wasn't just a business: it was our contribution to changing the world, starting from childhood. We hand-select each product, with a small but thoughtful catalog.
We wanted to make it easier for other families to find what we struggled to find: toys that spark curiosity, critical thinking, and empathy.
The first step
The response was so wonderful that we soon received messages like, "Where can I see them?" And so, our small showroom in Madrid was born in 2017. An intimate space, full of color and magic.
There we began to meet incredible families. They didn't just come to shop; they came to share. To play. To dream.
Our special corner
Although the place was hidden away, it became a very special place. A "little pearl in the desert," as many described it.
We loved watching the little ones grow alongside us. That bond confirmed to us: we were doing something right.
A new home
In 2023, we took the leap. We moved to Plaza de Mondariz, 6 , to a larger, brighter, and more comfortable space so we can continue growing with you. We maintain the same care and attention, but now with more than 3,000 carefully selected products based on very clear criteria.
We want to tell you every story behind the toy, whether in person or in our videos and online recommendations.
Today: a community that plays together
Cucutoys is no longer just a toy store. It's a community. A family.
