Garbancito, Children's Story

"Garbancito" is an adaptation of the Spanish folk tale by Olalla González, with illustrations by Marc Taeger. This picture book tells the story of a tiny boy who, to avoid being stepped on, sings as he walks:
"Pachín, pachán, pachón, be very careful what you do..."

One day, while taking shelter from the rain under a cabbage tree, he is swallowed by an ox. Thanks to his ingenuity and the help of his parents, he manages to escape safely.
The cumulative and repetitive narrative encourages children's active participation, while the colorful, geometric illustrations stimulate their imagination. An ideal book to share with the family and foster a love of reading from an early age.
