More information

The new Ugears model consists of two modules: the siege machine or Ballista and the mechanical tower. Both units include articulated parts capable of performing different movements.

The Ballista consists of two elements: the base and the trigger unit. The base is provided with adjustable legs that stabilize the machine during firing. The trigger unit fires the wooden arrows, up to three at a time.

A direction and elevation aiming mechanism allows you to orient the ballista at the desired angle, both horizontally and vertically, to accurately hit the target. The winding mechanism lever is located on the right side of the model's body. Once you have correctly aimed the ballista, you can use this same lever as a trigger to fire the arrow at the target.

You can also remove the ballista from its base to mount it on top of the Tower and turn it into a full-fledged medieval weapon of war.

The weapon, designed to destroy defensive fortifications, has been used since ancient times. However, the Ugears double model draws inspiration from the Middle Ages, as is clear from its design, and particularly from the details of the tower. Decorated with exquisite ornamentation, the classic ivy-covered castle tower with a heraldic shield conceals some interesting structures: being a Ugears model, it obviously couldn't be just a static wooden piece. The gear on the side of the tower is part of the mechanism that raises the second floor, revealing the spiral staircase and the interior structure. The tower is fully extended when the dragon shield is fully visible. Aim the ballista to hit the shield, and its powerful projectile will collapse the second floor of the tower!

The ruined appearance of the tower walls, with missing bricks here and there, was designed to allow one to observe and appreciate the workings of the gears, the interior structure, and all its ingenious mechanisms.

The Ugears Ballista and Tower model guarantees a charming medieval adventure for brave conquerors who dare to take on the challenge of assembling this puzzle—no glue or special tools required, just their skillful hands and a little magical ancient engineering. Unlike a real medieval siege, which wouldn't exactly be fun, the Ugears model is designed for fun and family fun. Therefore, we encourage you to invite your heirs to participate in this adventure. ;-)

Test your aim, take over the castle, immerse yourself in the romantic era of true knights, and save a hostage in distress with the Ugears Ballista and Tower model.
