Child Development Guide from 0 to 6 years. 5/6

Developmental guide for children ages 3 to 4

At this age, children are curious, energetic, and cheerful. The most important characteristic at this age is their use of language. They are able to describe things in detail, express their feelings, and convey abstract concepts such as time, size, and numbers. They have a great sense of humor and enjoy making people laugh.

Fun and games

They're constantly on the move. Their speed and mobility have grown by leaps and bounds, and this gives them new confidence. They enjoy outdoor activities, such as running, biking, and jumping. They handle wooden puzzles with more than eight pieces with relative ease. You can start drawing, painting and cutting out papers.

Visual acuity

At the age of three, his vision is as precise as an adult's. Competent hand-eye coordination gives them the ability to judge distances, understand positions, and match and classify objects.

Play with equals

Their peers have developed greater control over their emotions and a willingness to please others. They like to play in groups and enjoy having friends. They begin to share toys and wait patiently for their turns. Imitation games such as "school lessons" or "shopping" are very popular at this age.

The perception of time

They're already beginning to understand the order of time. They know what "yesterday" means, and the meaning of "before" and "after." You can give them complex instructions like, "Wash your hands before eating," and they're able to ask questions and form complete sentences.
