With the Go Cube you not only learn how to solve the Rubik's Cube, but you can also play other online games. It has won several awards, including the Red Dot Design Award and the Good Design Award.
Go Cube is a high-tech version of the legendary Rubik's Cube, offering tutorials to learn how to play and compete in multiplayer mode with people from all over the world in new game modes. This cube retains the same aesthetics as the classic 3x3, but introduces new features by connecting to a mobile application via Bluetooth and collecting all possible data through sensors.
Twelve wireless sensors have been placed inside the cube, which register the changes in the position of the cells once the starting position has been left. The signals are sent to the app, where they are recorded and data such as turns per minute or times are used in the various modes available.
The Go Cube technology offers tutorials to learn the moves needed to solve it without the need to compete, and trainings so that more experienced players can improve their performance in the game, reduce their speed and optimise the moves to finish the cube as quickly as possible.
In addition to this, Go Cube introduces new game modes that depart from the common Rubik's Cube operation. These include mini-games and missions, such as forming the colours of the flag of different countries; a Guitar Hero-inspired game, in which the app tells you which way to turn the cube; or modes related to adapting to rhythm and speed.
The web connection offers a competitive online mode where you can play with people from all over the world. It integrates several modes, among which there is a real-time competition mode against other opponents, or rankings through which you have to climb through points, in addition to the normal game mode of the cube.
Go Cube has an LED light inside, which tells you whether the device is on or off, and it has a USB port for recharging the battery.
